Not true Today I'll show you how to simply clean your filter and wash arm, to enhance your dishwashers performance by up to 50% Filter clean Pull out your bottom rack and look for basket filter. (Check photo below) Reach in and give the basket lugs a 1/4 turn anticlockwise and pull basket out.
Now move over to the base of the bottom dishwasher arm. You may see a locking nut or flange holding this in place.(Unscrew anti clockwise and pull washer arm up and out. Now the whole sieve filter will come free.Pull this out and scrub in soapy water.
Move now to the dishwasher arm.Inspect all the small holes that distribute the water spray around. You will find, if performance has been poor, some of the holes will fully or partially blocked with paper or food bits. Again, for an excellent dishwasher clean, scrub in soapy warm water to dislodge blockages. Now lay filter sieve back in place. Insert washer arm back into place and tight locking nut. Put filter basket back and give 1/4 turn clock wise to relock into place.
Top dishwasher arm Usually the top arm will be clipped on to rack.Simply pull the arm to one side to unclip (check which side is clipped in) Again look for blockages and scrub clean. Replace arm. Ok that's it. The ultimate dishwasher clean completed. Load up your dishwasher and enjoy the sparking clean results:)
