Knowing how to install plumbing the easy way

The greatest plumbing invention to come out in the last few years has to be the flexi connector.

A time saver to experienced plumbers.

A discovery of god like proportions to the home handyman.

The flexi, really is the idiots path to leak proof joins.

They come in two varieties

A. Stainless ripple tube. (left in photo)

B. Braided stainless tubing

Both types come in different lengths and with or without elbows.

When you want to know how to install plumbing, try using the flexi to make the following connections.

From bracket elbow/wingback(this is the threaded piece in wall)

Use the flexi to connect from......

1.Bracket elbow to basin tap.

2. Bracket elbow to sink flick mixer faucet.

3.Toilet tap to toilet tank/cistern.

4. Copper pipe to pump. (This helps dampen the noise and virbration of pipes.

The flexi is incredibly easy to use as the braided variety come with a soft washer fused into the nut.

It can be bent in all directions, making offsets a breeze.

All you need to do is take a measurement between the two fittings you want to join. Get closest flexi length that suits (add a little more to length, to ensure you don't stretch flexi)

The flexi is designed to go onto a nipple so you may have to make a threaded connection into your wingback/bracket elbow.See wingback below (This is the part that sits in behind your wall.)
