The other cause of a leak is a failed flush pipe connection.
To test, flush your toilet and run your hand over the bottom of the flush pipe. If this is wet you will need to remake the flush pipe joint.
You need to undo your flushpipe nut then gently pull your flush pipe out from the bowl and toilet tank.
Dry off your flush pipes rubber connections. Now dry inside the bottom of toilet tank and inside your bowl where your flush pipe sits.
Once dry you need to smear silicone over the rubber connectors.
Place the flush pipe back into position and do up the flushpipe nut. Wipe off excess silicone.
Leave for 4 hours then test.
Well done, your leak is now just a bad memory.
